Drive is the fuel that makes you want to succeed.
If you’re dedicated to your craft, that’s going to permeate your entire being.
When you have drive you have a goal and when you’re focussed you’re not going to do anything thats going to hinder what that goal is.
Thats what drive is for me, it’s the fuel.
…
On the surface drive just seems like motivation combined with consistent action over long periods of time. That’s what drive looks like, what it really is - is the ‘how’. How do you maintain that consistent focussed action. How is a far more difficult question to answer. How does one become driven?
My only clues to creating drive at this point centre around taking action. It feels like drive just sparks into existence somewhere along the path of action. So my advice is simply to start - to start and to keep taking action, somewhere down the line as if from nowhere drive will appear.
If you are ever struggling think about this - If you’re dedicated to your craft, that’s going to permeate your entire being then make a decision about what to do.
