Overview

Lofoten Fieldworks turns reproducible terrain data into two current experiences. The live Lofoten Crossing V3 browser journey moves between day-by-day exploration and continuous free flight. The separate Expo / React Native companion brings the crossing to a phone; it remains in development.

Field notes

The Fieldworks pipeline acquires Kartverket elevation data, normalizes it into a shared spatial system, and produces versioned terrain products with source provenance.
The V3 browser experience opens into the crossing, moves through Day by day and Details, and lets visitors enter and return from continuous Free Flight.
The native app uses versioned Fieldworks terrain exports. Its route and metrics are available for app review, while field access, conditions, and device behaviour still need checking before field use.
Atlas V1 and V2 remain accessible as earlier experiments in the browser-world lineage.
